A road cross section that has a swale and/or culverts on each side and gravel shoulders. There are no curbs or storm sewers and usually no street lights either. This type of roadway is typical for county roads and found in some suburban neighborhoods. The type of road or street in front of a home significantly impacts the character of home and yard. Mailboxes in neighborhoods with this road style are generally located at the street instead of on the home itself.
