California Bungalow

A popular home style from about 1910 up to World War II, this 1-1/2 story home can be best identified by eaves with exposed rafters and a lower horizontal appearance. Other common features include a gable roof with the ridge parallel to the front, a front porch under roof (usually full) and a large central dormer in front; also referred to as a Craftsmen style home.
