Southern neighbor of the Bay View area of Milwaukee, St. Francis became incorporated in 1951. Prior to incorporation this part of the Town of Lake had developed, like so many others, around growing metro areas. Born truly as a suburb, St. Francis has no real city center. At just over 2.5 square miles it is one of the smallest communities in Milwaukee County. St. Francis homes are moderately priced and within reach of most first time home buyers. Several large condominium developments have been built since 2000 offering lakeshore condo living. Of course you can expect the lower non-lake view units to be the most affordable. Upper floor, lake view condo units are pricier, but still represent great value compared to other “lake view” condos in the metro area.
