Genesee is a town about 6 x 6 miles square. Subtract Wales from its northern section and North Prairie from its southwestern corner and the remaining 32 square miles are home to about 8,000 people. The unincorporated community of Genesee Depot is at its heart. It can be found about 3 miles south of Hwy 18 where Hwy 83 takes a turn to the east. Largely rural, most homes here were built after 1970 and are in quiet rural neighborhoods. But if you’re looking for something a bit more exclusive – maybe a country estate or homes with horses allowed, then put Genesee on your list.
