Located between 124th Street and 132nd Street between Congress Street on the south and Silver Spring Drive on the north, Butler covers less than two square miles. Often thought of as the place with the big train yard, actually the yard is located in Milwaukee. The lack of zoning prior to the mid-20th century is evident as you’ll find commercial and residential properties together on the eastern side. The neighborhood to the west has a more suburban character. Because it is small, there is limited housing stock here, but buyers will find Butler homes affordable with reasonable taxes and enjoy being close to everything in the Milwaukee metro area.
